Sea MD envisions a dive catamaran dedicated to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for young people with disabilities. Designed for long-distance expeditions, capable of carrying a crew of up to eleven, its structure will allow for access to shallow waters, significantly expanding the range of dive locations. The vessel's storage areas will be thoughtfully organized to accommodate provisions, dive gear, luggage, and on-shore accessibility equipment, ensuring the decks remain clear and functional. With seamless transitions from the cockpit through the living areas to the aft deck and dive platform, and onward to the foredeck, the entire boat will be wheelchair-accessible and cater to individuals with mobility challenges.
Artemis is an accessible dive platform currently sailing the World under command of Tom Hughes, a disabled English Army Captain, and his fiancé, Hannah. (www.multihullcentre.com)
